Kathy Jacobs has been making things as long as she can remember.

It all started as a kid on her grandparents' farm. During the long summer with nothing much to do, Kathy would spend hours looking at the Sears catalog, to pass the time.

Inspired with what she saw - and couldn’t buy - she began sewing little purses and making assorted crafts. She kept at it and, while awaiting the birth of her daughter, Abigail, Kathy made all the décor including every pillow, drape and doll in her room!

Kathy has appeared in Los Angeles Family Magazine, on Food Network and American Inventor. She has hosted hundreds of parties, created lovely home décor, as well as crafty baking kits and more. To be cost-effective, Kathy began shopping various discount stores for supplies.

Thus The Discount Store Diva^® was born.
